Ladies and Gentlemen… Mr. Joe Cimino!

Ladies and Gentlemen… Mr. Joe Cimino!

Hey everybody! We’re beyond excited to welcome the newest member into the I-90s family… drummer Joe Cimino. Many of you probably know Joe from his stellar playing in Super No.7, The Cover Up and Seattle. Now you’ll have the pleasure of listening to him tear the walls down with The I-90s. Having several rehearsals and one show under our belts now, we’re breathing a collective sigh of relief. Joe has not only made this transition a much easier one, but has also exceeded our expectations. It’s never easy to step into a situation such as ours and take flight from day one, but Joe has done just that, and we couldn’t be happier. Joe is a true professional, an amazing player, and… well, just one hell of a great guy! Please join us in welcoming Joe to our family at the many shows we have lined up throughout the summer months. You’re in for a treat!...

Goodbye, Derek… Best of Luck!

Goodbye, Derek… Best of Luck!

It is with tears and very heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our original drummer and amazing friend, Derek Tomporowski, who is migrating South to rejoin family in Florida. I have personally known (and have been playing with) Derek since just shy of his 15th birthday. Starting with Freezer Burn, morphing into the mighty Superbasket, and most recently with The I-90s, I have had the pleasure of enjoying Derek’s talents in abundance on stage, in rehearsals and during impromptu jam sessions. But beyond his prowess on the skins and shells, Derek has simply been one of my very best friends. I have had the chance to watch him grow both as a player and person. I’ve shared deeply sad moments and unbelievably great times throughout our friendship. I once had a saying that summed up my thoughts on Superbasket (Mr. Mike Ohm, we still miss the hell out of you, too)… and that saying is that “Superbasket wasn’t a band, it was a family.” That saying couldn’t be more true to this day, because it’s the very same feeling with The I-90s. We’re not just losing a drummer… we’re not just losing a friend… we’re losing a part of our family. But in our sadness comes opportunity for Derek, and I know that I speak for every member of this musical family when I say… Derek, we love you, and we wish you the best of luck, the best of health… the best of everything! We’ll miss you, brother! Your friend,...

Summer’s Almost Here; Let’s Do This Right!

Hey Erie! It’s been a long, COOOOOOOLD winter, but you know what? It’s May now, and you know what that means: That’s right; it’s just about time to crack a Bud Light and get out there to enjoy the few precious months of nice weather we get around here! AND, we can’t think of any better way to celebrate the summer finally being here than havin’ a few beers and rockin’ out to music from a time when you could turn on the current hit radio station and not cringe! We are getting geared up for a very busy and exciting Summer of 2014 including a HEADLINING slot at one of Erie, PA’s always out-of-control Summer Downtown Block Parties! That’s right! June 12th right out on the street in front of Sullivan’s in Erie, PA; we will be taking the entire city back to the 90s right after Money Shot (I Love The 80s Edition) opens up the show with a set of 80s’ music! Trust us; you do not want to miss this one! And that’s just one of the highlights to what is sure to be an unforgettable Summer for The I-90s. We will be busy all summer long so make sure you check the calendar to keep tabs on which venues in the area will be taking you back to a time when music didn’t suck! Summer’s almost here Erie! An I-90 Becomes an M80

You thought it could never happen! Well, our very own Tito will be filling in on the mic with our good friends in the M80s for a few shows. A lot of people assume that since we blaze the 90s there’s some kind of “feud” with the M80s. Nothing could be further from the truth! Tito will be joining those boys and rocking it out for a few shows while Brian recovers (get well soon!). Knock ’em dead! And one of these days, who knows, maybe our two bands will get together for a show. We can guarantee this… it’d be a night you’d never...

Thank You Sandbar!

Thank you to Gary and The Sandbar for welcoming The I-90s and showing us such great hospitality and enthusiasm! So thank you again, and we absolutely CAN’T WAIT to see you all there next time. Such a great place… food, drinks, staff… and it’s CLEAN!
