Free Admission, Super Cheap Club Prices, And 90s Rock! Get On The List Now For The Nov 8th South Erie Turners’ Show!

There are currently three chances for you to take a trip back to the 90s with us in November. The first of which will be on November 8th at South Erie Turners where we will be busting out several new additions to our ever-expanding 90s rock set list. You DO NOT need to be a member of the club to get into the show, however, you will need to be on the guest list. So, how does one go about getting on this super-hip, ultra-cool VIP guest list you ask? Well, that is downright simple. All you need to do is give us the names of who is planning on coming to the show, and you’re on the list which means you are getting in for FREE and drinking all night long at super CHEAP club prices. You can go about doing this by messaging us or posting on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thei90s. Or you can e-mail Tito at titoandswan@yahoo.com with the subject line SOUTH ERIE TURNERS. It’s that easy folks! Other shows in November will be at Sherlock’s on the 15th and the 28th at the Sandbar. Also, stay tuned for news on what is going to be a HUGE New Years’ Eve celebration at Sherlock’s this year. Go ahead and mark that one down on the calendar now cause you WILL NOT want to miss...

After An Epic Summer, The I-90s Are Looking Ahead To Fall…

After An Epic Summer, The I-90s Are Looking Ahead To Fall…

First of all, this summer has been sooooo great, and we know we have all of you to thank for making it that way…So, thanks! But, now the weather is turning a little chillier, the NFL season is underway, and it is clear that Fall is in fact imminent. And, we have every intention of keeping the 90s rock party going strong right into Autumn! Shows in September include our final 2014 trip to Geneva, OH on September 20th at Sportsterz and our inaugural show at Docksiders on September 26th (7-10) so let’s make them worth remembering regardless of whether we end up recalling them or not. Also, even though The I-90s as a band have opted out of Rock Erie Music Awards contention (Note: Our drummer Joe is up for an individual award for favorite drummer); we have agreed to play the REMA’s Official After-Party at Sherlock’s on Sunday, September 28th. We will go on shortly after the ceremony ends (approximately 9:30). So, whether you attend the REMA’s or not, be sure to come on down and congratulate all of the great nominees/winners while rocking out to the music of the 90s for a special Sunday night performance! Summer was great, but let’s make Fall even better! See you all real...

Thank You Sherlock’s For Getting Crazy With Us!

We just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out and went absolutely NUTS with us last weekend at Sherlock’s! We had an absolute BLAST rocking out with you guys and gals! Personally, I had chills when I started into “Champagne Supernova” and I heard what sounded like every single person in the packed club singing along with me at the top of their lungs! You guys were AWESOME. This entire summer has been so amazing, and we know very well that we owe that to all of you crazy people that have been coming out and partying with us! Also, a big shout out to BUD LIGHT and ERIE BEER is in order for being so great to us! We love you guys! This summer has flown by so quickly; it’s hard to believe that we only have ONE SUMMER SHOW left on the calendar. We will be rocking one of the nicest venues in Erie, The Sloppy Duck, August 30th from 8-12. It will be your last chance to party with us while cracking a Bud Light or Bud Light Lime outside under the warm summer sun so DON’T MISS IT! Thanks again to everyone who has been making what we do so much fun. Oh, and lots of new additions to the set list are on their way! I can’t wait to bust them out in a couple weeks at the Duck! See you on the 30th…...

Ladies and Gentlemen… Mr. Joe Cimino!

Ladies and Gentlemen… Mr. Joe Cimino!

Hey everybody! We’re beyond excited to welcome the newest member into the I-90s family… drummer Joe Cimino. Many of you probably know Joe from his stellar playing in Super No.7, The Cover Up and Seattle. Now you’ll have the pleasure of listening to him tear the walls down with The I-90s. Having several rehearsals and one show under our belts now, we’re breathing a collective sigh of relief. Joe has not only made this transition a much easier one, but has also exceeded our expectations. It’s never easy to step into a situation such as ours and take flight from day one, but Joe has done just that, and we couldn’t be happier. Joe is a true professional, an amazing player, and… well, just one hell of a great guy! Please join us in welcoming Joe to our family at the many shows we have lined up throughout the summer months. You’re in for a treat!...

Goodbye, Derek… Best of Luck!

Goodbye, Derek… Best of Luck!

It is with tears and very heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our original drummer and amazing friend, Derek Tomporowski, who is migrating South to rejoin family in Florida. I have personally known (and have been playing with) Derek since just shy of his 15th birthday. Starting with Freezer Burn, morphing into the mighty Superbasket, and most recently with The I-90s, I have had the pleasure of enjoying Derek’s talents in abundance on stage, in rehearsals and during impromptu jam sessions. But beyond his prowess on the skins and shells, Derek has simply been one of my very best friends. I have had the chance to watch him grow both as a player and person. I’ve shared deeply sad moments and unbelievably great times throughout our friendship. I once had a saying that summed up my thoughts on Superbasket (Mr. Mike Ohm, we still miss the hell out of you, too)… and that saying is that “Superbasket wasn’t a band, it was a family.” That saying couldn’t be more true to this day, because it’s the very same feeling with The I-90s. We’re not just losing a drummer… we’re not just losing a friend… we’re losing a part of our family. But in our sadness comes opportunity for Derek, and I know that I speak for every member of this musical family when I say… Derek, we love you, and we wish you the best of luck, the best of health… the best of everything! We’ll miss you, brother! Your friend,...

Summer’s Almost Here; Let’s Do This Right!

Hey Erie! It’s been a long, COOOOOOOLD winter, but you know what? It’s May now, and you know what that means: That’s right; it’s just about time to crack a Bud Light and get out there to enjoy the few precious months of nice weather we get around here! AND, we can’t think of any better way to celebrate the summer finally being here than havin’ a few beers and rockin’ out to music from a time when you could turn on the current hit radio station and not cringe! We are getting geared up for a very busy and exciting Summer of 2014 including a HEADLINING slot at one of Erie, PA’s always out-of-control Summer Downtown Block Parties! That’s right! June 12th right out on the street in front of Sullivan’s in Erie, PA; we will be taking the entire city back to the 90s right after Money Shot (I Love The 80s Edition) opens up the show with a set of 80s’ music! Trust us; you do not want to miss this one! And that’s just one of the highlights to what is sure to be an unforgettable Summer for The I-90s. We will be busy all summer long so make sure you check the calendar to keep tabs on which venues in the area will be taking you back to a time when music didn’t suck! Summer’s almost here Erie!
